While Sudhir Kasliwal masters the art of choreographing colours in his photographs, his heart by his own admission lies in black and white photographs. Each of these images is an example of texture and tones conversing to create a visual masterpiece. Within these photographs, many made with large format cameras, transparencies and wide variety of films, processed in his darkroom, he moves with remarkable ease between genres. From documentary, street, portraits, landscape to abstract photographs, the chiaroscuro elevates them to a realm of subtlety.
